Aldeburgh Gallery is prominently positioned in the centre of Aldeburgh high street.

It has a large display window onto the high street, it is a light and airy space with a pleasant, inviting atmosphere.

Thousands of people flock to Aldeburgh through-out the year, to enjoy this charming traditional sea-side town on the east suffolk coast within an area of outstanding natural beauty, with interesting places to explore and visit, with stunning heathlands, forests, rivers, amazing walks and miles of interesting coastline.

In the past it was known for its fishing and boat building industry, both have since declined, but their are still fisherman who pull up their boats onto the shore and sell their catch from the huts on the beach.

The town boasts a number of first rate restaurants, cafes and pubs with an excellent range of shops and galleries, a good cinema showing a first class range of film and live theatre and operas. There is also a range of quality accommodation available.

Aldeburgh is internationally known for the Aldeburgh festival for music and the arts, begun by the composer Benjamin Britten together with Snape Maltings concert hall, there are many concerts held through-out the year to suit all tastes, along with many other art, music, and cultural events which include Literary Festival in March, the High Tide Festival in September, the Poetry Festival in September and food and music festivals held through-out the year.
